June 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Panama City Beach, FL (June 16, 2010)— Families and vacationers traveling to Panama City Beach this summer will be able to experience a new and enjoyable attraction before or after they go to the beach.  Scheduled to open late June, WonderWorks™ Panama City Beach, will be the largest indoor attraction in Panama City Beach and the second Wonderworks™ in Florida.  Other locations include Orlando, FL (Flagship) and Pigeon Forge, TN.  It is located at the PCB Pointe where Middle Beach, Front Beach Roads and North Thomas Drive intersect – across from Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® Museum.

How did it land there upside – down? This once top-secret WonderWorks™ laboratory was located in the Bermuda Triangle, when it was ripped from its foundation by a horrific tornado and carried thousands of miles away to Panama City Beach, Florida, where it landed on a surf shop.  The tornado was created by scientists from around the world trying to find answers to the unexplainable. During their experiment, something went awry and the power of the tornado was unleashed throughout the laboratory. Remarkably, all of the experiments remained intact and functional – and that’s how it all began.  It is now a four-story, 39,000-square-foot attraction, (twice the size of Wonderworks™ Orlando) filled with entertainment, including 100 interactive hands-on exhibits, small rides, video games, a gift shop and more.

In order for the journey to begin, guests will step into the inversion tunnel where they will have a sense of feeling like they have been turned upside-down.  They will then have a chance to be blown away by the Hurricane Experience’s 74mph hurricane force winds; ride the Xtreme 360˚Bike; maneuver the controls of a NASA spacecraft to land the shuttle; explore space in the Mission to Mars; feel the sensation of 3,500 nails on the Bed of Nails; fly a fighter jet; make a 3-D impression of their entire body on the WonderWall; design and ride a roller coaster; play virtual sports and Lazer Tag; be challenged by the three-story Indoor Ropes Course and much more.
