June 3, 2010 - PRLog -- There have been numerous studies in many states such as Miami, which have shown that smokers are more likely to become hard of hearing, with age then those who did not smoke. Miami smokers should be aware that there has been research performed at the University of Wisconsin that said smokers have a 70 percent greater risk of hearing loss then those who do not smoke.  The University of Calgary in Canada found that children who were around second hand smoke in the first three years of their life developed hearing damage with frequent middle ear infections, while consistent infections increased to 85% if both parents smoked. Offices like New Generation Miami Hearing Center are able to provide the care anyone would need to diagnose and treat hearing loss, which possibly can be the result of smoke inhalation.
