-- If the key to your Ford Focus will go into the ignition but won't turn, it's probably an ignition failure. Unfortunately, this is a common problem. This sidebar ignition cannot be repaired and must be replaced. We do not recommend going to the Ford dealer, because they will often replace it with another Ford Focus ignition of the same style, which again, may become stuck. You may end up with a two key system, which is not incredibly desirable. You may end up paying for new chip keys. The dealer can be an expensive solution.
In San Diego, the Dup-A-Key locksmiths have an aftermarket ignition that can be keyed up to your current keys. This ignition will not fail like the Ford Focus ignition from the dealer tends to do.
Your old keys will work and your new ignition won't fail. We can also make you some extra keys while we're there.
Call now for a local San Diego locksmith to come to your location and fix it. No need to tow it to the Ford dealer. If your Ford Focus is in our San Diego, California service area, we come to you.
