and accountant by trade was worried her daughter would become further entrenched in the negative associations she was making in school and after school in some of the rough neighborhoods of Boston. So when a 13 year old Neeca a promising student choreographer asked her mom to help her start a dance studio and magazine Lynda could only do what any mother would do come up with a thousand reasons why she shouldn't and then do everything possible to make her child's dream a reality. Now years later Neeca is married and in college and her dream that became her shared dream with her mother is breaking into the big time. The small magazine is now accessible to millions online and available on Zinio.com as a digital mag Zinio also distributes Oprah magazine and almost every major magazine publication in the U.S. worldwide directly to ipods, and computer screens. "When we first started we believed we would be in Barnes and Noble in no time as a printed magazine but the economy hurt the printing business so bad we had no choice but to go digital." Explained Lynda. "Now we are all excited and renewed in spirit to be able to touch so many." "Our magazine is unique in that we feature all types of entertainment yet maintain a strong dance base as well opening up to music and fashion did not lose us our base but expanded it!" said Michael R. Thierry the magazine's Editor. "Our growth has allowed us to reach celebrities from other countries as well as help those locally reach the masses one of the first local artists we gave a cover to Shea Rose is now doing modeling for covergirl and music for people like Dallas Austin another Breje' is signed to Universal Records and about to do a major tour with other stars of Universal!" Neeca has also been able to offer her choreographic skills to hip hop artist like Blak Sea and now counts among her acquaintances Taraji P. Henson, Maino, Otis Sallid,Montana Tucker,Shane Sparks,members of Dipset, and more. "I think meeting celebrities is a lot of fun it's exciting she says but what I love most is dancing, dancing will always be first with me, Neeca laughs.
