Jan. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- A little over two years ago, with funding from “The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust”, young entrepreneur Greg Allison started his first online venture with Garages4You.com. In that short space of time the Edinburgh based company established itself as the largest online MOT retailer within the UK. With a large fleet of independent outlets throughout England and Scotland, the company continues to offer highly discounted rates to its many customers.

Maintaining his desire to offer people real value for money, Greg went on to launch macsamstyres.co.uk, a new website that revolutionised online tyre sales making the process not only straightforward but offering savings of up to 40% (compared to other online tyre suppliers).

Greg continues to show that “the small guys” can take on the big businesses ~ and win. His portfolio is still expanding with plans to make MacSams a household name that is not just cars and tyres. To take the company forward, Greg has recently taken on a new Commercial Manager. Sam Macnamara brings with him a wealth of marketing and sales experience that he hopes to put to good use for MacSams.

Speaking about his recent appointment Sam said “as soon as I met with Greg and heard his ideas and vision I knew I wanted to be part of his plans. Like a lot of people I have been frustrated by companies who can charge whatever they want because there is no real alternative. I believe MacSams can offer something different. We know what it’s like to be the customer and how we’d like to be treated so that’s what we want to give people who choose us”.

Greg has recently been nominated for a prestigious  “BT Scotland Young Entrepreneurs e-commerce award”, a highly sought after prize that celebrates young business people’s success with online ventures. The existing online ventures continue to thrive with plans to steer the company in a new direction in the very near future. Looks like those tyres are very much needed for the long journey ahead of everyone at MacSams.
