Follow on Google News | Local Church & Radio Station Bring Bluegrass Festival To Mexico, MOBluegrass lovers Fred and Penny Martie create a unique Gospel only Bluegrass Festival to support local Christian Radio station KJAB
By: Kevin Weber This year's group line-up includes The Punches Family from Fredericktown, MO, the Rt 66 Band from the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, and Southern Raised from the Hurley Mo area. The emcee's for this years event will be Mark Withers and Gene Reasoner of the Believers Bluegrass Show. The Punches Family has won band of the year with the SPBGMA organization several times in recent years, The father of the group, Bruce has won entertainer of the year, and his wife Bobette has won bass fiddle player of the year. The kids took first place youth band competition at Silver Dollar City 2009 and has entertained crowds both large and small at many different venues throughout the Midwest. Cost for the event is $10.00 per person with children under 10 free. The concert starts at 5:00 PM and runs till it's finished.
