By: Vere Software Shipley, a Computer Forensic Certified Examiner (CFCE), will discuss how Web pages work, how they come to be on a computer, how they are stored, and how to rebuild them. He will also discuss how in context, Internet artifacts can be something much different than they appear to be when they are viewed out of context. “Collection and documentation of 'live' Web sites is one part of an investigation, but it is also important for computer forensic examiners to know how to analyze their artifacts left behind on a hard drive,” said Shipley. Hosted at the World Trade Center Curacao, the Carcur Conference is designed not only for computer forensics experts, but also for all law enforcement, private investigators, prosecutors, financial experts, and corporate personnel.
