Nov. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- China is rich in wollastonite. China 14 provinces (areas) have wollastonite production. The proved reserves mineral field amount is 31 and total reserves are 0.132 billion which ranks first in the world. Jilin is most rich in wollastonite and occupied 40% of whole country reserves; Yunnan, Jiangxi, Qinghai and Liaoning take second place. Wollastonite deposit types have skarn (such as Jilin Longjing, Hunan Changning, Jiangsu Liyang, etc), contact hydrothermal alteration metamorphism (such as Jilin Lishu, Jiangxi Shanggao) and regional metamorphism (such as Jilin Hunjiang), the major types are front two types. The wollastonite mineragenetic epoch is carbonic period, Permian, next is Devonian, Silurian and cambrian period.
