Danger Pig's New Singer Lived Dangerously - Sings Dangerously Too.

Nov. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Lhia Ellder  is the long awaited "soul" of Alaska based rock band, Danger Pig. The newest, and only female, addition to the band is now truly putting the Danger in Danger Pig. Her story is one of survival, trial, and triumph. Married three times before the age of 21, Lhia always knew her sultry and sexy sound was backed by the strife of life.

With hauntingly Janis Joplin like soul, her voice is a dedication to her heavy past and new embrace on life. Lhia's voice is not just the voice of another rocker, Lhia's voice represents the voice of so many women in today's music industry. She is a strong chick with a kick-ass attitude,
killer vocals, and the scars to prove she has truly played with the big boys. I guess you can say Lhia's plight in life truly lead her to to help carry the torch of the  Danger Pig Brand.

To front a band with the name 'Danger' in it you can't be any pre-production polished twenty-one year old. You also can't be a sappy singer who wears her heart on her sleeve. You have to have nerves of steel and the talent to outshine men who , literally, can school others in the fashion of rock n' roll. Lhia's life has inspired Danger Pig's upcoming disc, The Box.

With songs based off hard experiences as a child, experiences no one should have to endure- such has molestation by a grandparent, rape, surviving alcoholic parents ,  dealing with her own demons of addiction, and past incarceration , proves to be Danger Pig's most daring flight yet!

Lhia represents the unfortunate aspects of life but also what all of us want- not the American dream. Rather, the dream to be.  Lhia told publicist Tanya Vece, " I forgave myself" when describing some of her past.

"It was a powerful phrase. We try to forgive others, women often blame themselves. Women don't often forgive themselves. She inspired me.Lhia and I have dealt with some of the same issues in life. She is a strong women. I am proud to represent her and really I think the album Danger Pig is putting out now has reason to be set apart from all others.
It isn't manufactured writing. It is the poetry of someone's journey to their own healing. The music, the lyrics, all of it is what rock aught to be in today's culture. To accept life's injustices and be able to put your soul into rock n' roll so productively is inspiring to me." Tanya Vece stated. "Being this honest lyrically is what is dangerous. What a perfect match for suited named band!"

Danger Pig is a band who as always taken risks and lived the rock n' roll life.  With the addition of Lhia, the band now is solidified as not only a band on a mission but a band with a cause.
