Follow on Google News | "What's Your Spark?" ArizonaEIGHT Educational Outreach - ASSET and Arizona Science Center invite you to enter the Arizona Digital Photography Contest between now and Nov. 30, 2009 for your chance to win $300 cash and a scholarship for a photography course.
In a new three-part series, The Human Spark, airing on Eight/KAET in January 2010, host Alan Alda takes these questions personally, visiting with dozens of scientists on three continents, and participating directly in many experiments – including the detailed examination of his own brain. So what does the Human Spark look like? How do you capture human uniqueness in a photograph? We challenge Arizona photographers, pros and amateurs, to give us their best shot. There are three divisions to enter: 1. Pro – Full or part-time professional photographers who receive all or a major part of their income from photography. 2. Amateur – Beginning or amateur photographers at least 18 years of age, and experienced photographers who do not receive a major part of their income from photography. 3. Youth – Young photographers ages 8 to 17. For full contest details and inspiration visit: http://www.azpbs.org/ Winners will be recognized at Arizona Science Center on January 5, 2010 during The Human Spark premiere party. Each category winner will also be awarded $300 cash, receive a scholarship for one photography course at Scottsdale Community College, and have their photos on display at Arizona Science Center during the month of January 2010.
