New Solar Inspired, Eco-Friendly Gallery Opens May 23 at Arizona Science Center

Solarville, in the APS Gallery, offers hands-on exhibits presenting solar energy in a whole new light.

May 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Arizona Science Center announces the grand opening of its newly renovated gallery, Solarville, located in the APS Solar Gallery on Level 4.

Focused on sustainability, this hands-on gallery takes you on a stroll through scientific labs, not only studying the sun, but also how we harness and distribute sustainable green energy—from algae, to alternative fuels, to poop!

As your stroll continues you learn about cutting-edge technologies being implemented in businesses and cities around the world to address sustainability. Even lend a hand developing wind engine turbines and inventing new garage waste systems.

You will also explore ways to utilize solar and renewable energy in your everyday life, from home appliances to harnessing the power of the changing seasons. And finally learn more about Arizona’s most plentiful—and powerful—natural resource, the Sun.

The exhibit officially opens to the public Sunday, May 23 and will offer daily demonstrations to further explore some of these sustainable concepts.
