Dreamer.Me Returns with Yahoo! Search to Save the World

The website Dreamer.Me which was temporarily out down has returned to service today, partnering with Yahoo! to allow its users to search the web while donating money for charity.

Oct. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Dreamer.Me is a unique website that allows you to search the internet and make money for charity at the same time.

"Unlike the other companies doing what we do, 100% of our profits go to charity, because we ourselves are a non-profit company," says founder and chief programmer Brian Pittman.

The website originally used Google AdSense to provide its search results. However, after less than a month in operation Google unexpectedly canceled their service.

Says Brian, "What they [Google] said was that we would be a ‘Danger to their advertisers’.  Personally, I didn’t buy that explanation.  I think Google just figured they had 70% of the search market, so why bother losing some of their market share and sharing their revenue with a non-profit like us."

Whatever the reason Dreamer.Me now had to hunt for a new search provider.  Says Brian, "In the end we turned to Yahoo!  Their search results are just as good as Google and they appear to be a little more generous with who they partner with."

This means Dreamer.Me is back in business.

Says Brian, "We can't wait to get rolling again, there are a lot of people who are looking for a way to give back to the world, and Dreamer.Me can provide that.  I think our motto 'Save the World' says it all."
