Oct. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Warwick Ventures has been searching the globe for market strength, and are excited to report impressive market gains in Asia. Latin America's performance follows Asia's promising lead, leaving Europe, the United States, and Australia far behind.

The main indexes in Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea and Singapore have risen more than 50 percent since Jan. 1. Smaller markets like those in Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka have risen 75 percent or more, and the Sensex in India has climbed 72 percent. As of last Thursday, Chinese companies had staged 57 initial public offerings in 2009 - including the two biggest of the year globally, raising $21.8 billion in the process. That is 52 percent of the global I.P.O. volume this year, explains Jeffrey Samuelson, quoting Dealogic.

The Dow Jones industrial average has risen a mere 10 percent since Jan. 1 and remains about 15 percent below its level before Lehman collapsed. The benchmark indexes in Britain, Germany and France are up only about 15 percent this year.
