PRLog -- Dr. Premaratne Samaranayake is a senior lecturer at the University of Western Sydney, an institution of higher learning that is known for its international standing and academic excellence in teaching, learning, research, and service to the people of Greater Western Sydney. Dr. Samaranayake has been employed at UWS since 1999 and in his present role for the past five years. Primarily, he is engaged with teaching, administration, and governance, but his most crucial function is in research. Dr. Samaranayake specializes in the broader areas of enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, and business process management. He completed his PhD in manufacturing and industrial engineering at University of Melbourne, Australia in 1996, and earned his Master of Engineering degree in industrial engineering and management from the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand. He also studied at the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with first class honors.
