Natural Handbags -- What does it actually mean?

At least thats what crosses my mind! If one takes a step back and think how many products out there are really "natural"?, the answer will be rather surprising to many.  

One could argue that most bags are natural handbags since they are made of natural material. But I beg to differ. It is not fair to call a leather handbag as natural handbag if it is stained with animal slaughter. None of us can agree that every product we buy is cruelty free. Most women love carrying chic handbags that make a fashion statement. Having said that, if the same handbag can be made with materials that are really natural without sacrificing style or fashion, why wouldnt you want it? Moreover, if these handbags are driven by socially driven initiative like Fairtrade, its an added bonus.

The concept of Natural Handbags:

It is a no-brainer that a natural handbag is one that in sync with nature. There are a ton of such alternatives available today. Unlike just few years back, beautiful handbags that are made of simple everyday materials like raffia grass, corn husk, straw and other natural fibers are available today. These handbags are as hip and chic as their "unnatural" counterparts. Not to mention, one does not have to spend a fortune for these bags.
