Birmingham Beats New York For Music Conference

Aug. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Quiz Media, organizer of the Urban Fashion and Music conference (UFM Conference) have announced that they will be bring the event to Birmingham, England. The three-day Fashion and Music event will take place in July of 2010.  The date and location have not been announced yet.  

After 3 months of consideration Birmingham has won out over Houston, Jamaica, New York City and London.  The decision to bring the conference to the UK was quite surprising. Fashion and Music professionals were even more shocked to find out that Birmingham won out over London.  

Birmingham has been dubbed England’s “Second City” and the organizers feel that it is the perfect place to have the conference.  In past years the conference has taken place in New York and Houston.  In it’s previous incarnation the conference was known as the T.U.N.E music seminar and the 3rd Coast Conference.  Past guests and sponsors read like the who’s who of music.  Sponsors such as Def Jam, Roc-a-Fella records, Sony, Bad Boy, Wu-Wear, Dada and others have supported this urban music extravaganza.  Past guests include KRS One, Kool Herc and Mathew Knowles.  The move to the UK is sure to attract and even broader range of fashion and music professionals.  Quiz Media plans to make the UFM Conference as big in the UK as it was in the US.
