BBC TV Bang Goes The Theory science programme is coming to SwanseaThe BBC is bringing the Bang Goes The Theory roadshow to Swansea city centre on September 5 and 6 opposite the Dragon Hotel on The Kingsway. The BBC prime time science series broadcasts on Monday nights on BBC One Wales.
By: City and County of Swansea Bang Goes The Theory looks at how science shapes the world around us and the roadshow aims to get everyone hands-on with science. This event is free and is a great opportunity to have fun and meet presenter Dr Yan Wong. "These roadshows aim to spark the nation's curiosity about science," says Dr Yan Wong, presenter. "Getting people to explore the world around them is really the essence of science, and that's what we are trying to encourage." The event is a real coup for the City and County of Swansea bringing yet another high profile event to the city. Councillor Graham Thomas, cabinet member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism at Swansea Council said, “We are delighted that the BBC has chosen Swansea once again to stage an event. The Roadshow promises to be as informative and exciting as the television programme with lots of weird and wonderful phenomena explained. This is an event not to be missed.” The BBC Bang Goes The Theory Roadshow is in Swansea city centre on September 5 and 6, 11am until 6pm opposite the Dragon Hotel.
