May 21, 2009 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA – Document Technologies, Inc. (DTI), the nation’s largest independent provider of litigation support services and document outsourcing, announced the company’s sponsorship of next month’s Ga-CLE event titled “Corporate ESI & eDiscovery.” The full-day program includes individual sessions covering the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, e-discovery 101, Meta data, and managing in-house electronic discovery.

A total of six CLE credit hours may be earned for attorneys attending the program. An optional CLE credit hour for attendees needing a professionalism credit will be available for an additional fee. The event is being held on Friday, June 26, 2009, in Atlanta at Villa Christina.

Erika Santiago, DTI’s LitWorks National Training & Development Manager, has been selected to deliver the session covering the fundamentals of electronic discovery. In-house attorneys will be treated to a special presentation by litigation support services industry veteran Kevin Jacobs, DTI’s Vice President of Technology Services, during which he will discuss the process used to create successful in-house e-discovery departments. The session will cover roles, skill sets and responsibilities; the importance of buy-in with IT and corporate business units; and how records management plays an important part of the success of the initiative.

The program’s faculty also includes Ronni Solomon, JD, an Electronic Discovery Specialist at King & Spalding LLP and Susan Hargus Mortimer, JD, a Forensic Accounting Examiner and Electronic Discovery Specialist.
