A New electronic dictionary DIXAU was launched in South Korea.
Unichal Inc., one of leading IT R&D companies in Korea, announces its official debut on April, 22, 2009.

DIXAU which looks like a computer mouse is very distinguishable from other electronic dictionaries.
This simple looking device, DIXAU has 7 patented technologies and it is chosen as Good Design Selection by Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

Unlike current dictionaries, a mere click on a button is all you need for a dictionary look-up.
It translates foreign language words to your language or other languages with a built-in native pronunciation. It recognizes 4 languages; English, Spanish, French, and German. Each language can be translated up to 73 different languages (English in 73, Spanish in 28, French in 32, and German in 32).

DIXAU is connected to internet and brings over 600 web dictionaries. For example, when the user looks up Seoul, he will not just have a text definition but will also see where it is (map dictionary), how it looks like (image dictionary), and what it is going on (video).

DIXAU’s easy use gives students and office workers efficiency for their jobs. It can also be a great aid for students who have a hard time reading a book. DIXAU’s abundant web dictionaries give satisfaction to professionals who often look up special terms. Furthermore DIXAU can be an assistive technology for learning disabilities.
