The Swinden Group Advises of Possible Major Winter Storm to Impact Eastern US Sunday and Monday

Feb. 28, 2009 - PRLog -- The Swinden Group, through their Severe Weather Advisories, is advising their clients of the developing winter storm moving out of the southeast US and strengthening along the East Coast as it tracks towards New England on Monday. The main threat of this storm will be heavy snows of up to 12 inches causing widespread travel delays for both on the ground and in the air, hazardous / dangerous driving conditions, school and business closures, and the possibility of widespread power outages.


The National Weather Service has issued a number Winter Storm Watches this morning from South Carolina to Massachusetts for Sunday and Monday.

“This has the potential of being a high impact winter storm for the metro areas of Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and the Tri-State region to include New York City, and Boston on Monday,” explains Matthew Swinden, President of the Swinden Group. “We have been advising our clients of this event since this morning in order for them to be prepared and make other travel arrangements if traveling through the eastern US Sunday and Monday.  At the very least, travelers through Washington, New York can expect flight delays if not cancellations.  In addition to the travel headaches this storm may cause, we are advising that this storm may impact business with power outages and the inability to transport products.”
