Liebherr have enjoyed good sales figures in the UK, mainly due to the excellent selection of Biofresh fridge freezers they offer.

Braeg Heneffe, general manager at Internet Kitchen Appliances (IKA), has seen the brand grow over the last decade, and points out this is one kind of product that sells itself: "The quality of Liebherr has been officially recognised this year. Five combined fridge freezers received the Plus X Award in two categories: Design and Ease of Use. The Plus X Award is Europe's largest technology competition and is highly regarded in the world of domestic appliances. The six models to attain the award were: the CBNes3597, which has BioFresh and NoFrost technology; the KBes4260, which is free standing with BioFresh; the SBSes7273, which is a side by side with Ice Center BioFresh and No Frost; the CBN3956, which also has BioFresh and NoFrost; and the WTEes2053 is a wine cabinet that won an award for its Design."

He added: "These results speak for themselves, and it's no surprise that Liebherr will continue to be popular in the coming year, despite the gloomy economic outlook."
