Coolectric Limited increase UK Liebherr prices due to Euro strength and stainless steel prices

Jan. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Liebherr fridge freezers and wine coolers have had a growing presence in the UK market recently, and in the last few years the brand has enjoyed increased exposure on the high street. However, the recent price increases for imported stainless steel, and the week pound have meant that price increases are inevitable.

Braeg Heneffe, general manager at Sheffield based online retailer, comments: "While a few popular fridge freezer models are not affected, some are up by more than 10%. For some low specification manufacturers of appliances this is not such an issue, but with high ticket price refrigeration like the models produced by Liebherr, this means a big price hike."

Mr Heneffe went on to add: "The side by side style fridge freezers they manufacturer have gone up over £200 for some models, and our potential customers have already picked up on this. It will no doubt be a tough trading year for not only the manufacturers, but also the retailers of high quality kitchen appliances".

The Liebherr Group’s holding company is Liebherr-International AG based in Bulle, Switzerland. The company are renowned for production of industry and plant machinery, but also manufacturer some of the most specialist and sought after refrigeration units in the world.
