GenScript Upgrades Plasmid Preparation Service Concurrent with 25% Discount

Nov. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- PISCATAWAY, N.J., -International life science contract research organization (CRO) GenScript Corporation has upgraded its plasmid preparation platform and launched a 25% discount on all plasmid prep services. The discount is to last from Nov, 15th, 2008, to Jan, 15th, 2009.  

The plasmid preparation platform can now generate plasmids with ultra-low levels of endotoxin: as low as 0.005EU/μg, 200 times lower than the industry standard of 0.1EU/μg. The changes to the platform also allow GenScript to offer plasmid production services on a more flexible scale. Customers may now place orders for as little as 100μg or as much as 1000mg. (GenScript's customers include small and midsized laboratories as well as all of the world's 20 largest pharmaceutical companies.) GenScript representatives believe that this will appeal to laboratories of all sizes engaged in gene therapy studies, cell microinjection, and transfections of cells sensitive to endotoxins.

The plasmids prepared by GenScript undergo A260/280 quality control with the value set between 1.8 and 2. They also have high homogeneity. With minimized DNA shearing for plasmid integrity, they are suitable for many standardized downstream applications without further manipulation.
