National fire departments in addition to collectors are welcome to list their items for sell or trade. TheFireStuffStore.com owner Gary Guy is an active fire fighter and personal collector who saw a need to centralize the buying and selling of new and used fire gear.

“I found my first fire engine online but it has been hard to locate specific parts and additional equipment I want to outfit my trucks with” said Guy. “Other auction sites charge a listing and seller’s fee in addition to not catering specifically to both older and newer fire gear. I decided to create TheFireStuffStore.com and make it reasonable for people to buy and sell items without a seller’s fee and without a commission on truck sales. Plus, with the economy as tight as it is, fire departments now have an avenue to list items for sale without paying hefty commissions.”

According to Guy, the site features a wanted page where all listings are free. “It is all about having one location to find what you need” said. Guy.

TheFireStuffStore.com features new and used apparatus including ladders, aerials, tankers, engine, pumpers and specialized equipment. Hose, appliances, extrication gear, haz-mat equipment, lighting equipment and special operations equipment round out the categories to choose from.
