Rick Saphire Accepts Apology From Blogger for Bogus Jerry Lewis Story

Internet blogger Scott Marks published an apology to Rick Saphire for reporting a fictious story implicating Saphire in a deal to secure money from Newsweek for an interview with Jerry Lewis.

Sept. 27, 2008 - PRLog -- Scott Marks wrote the following on his popular blog:

Several months ago I ran a story that accused Jerry Lewis’ publicist Rick Saphire of attaching a $20,000 price tag to one-on-one interviews with his legendary client. I also took a few cheap shots at Rick and several of the other celebrities he represents.
Not only did the story prove to be bogus, Rick turned out to be a very nice guy. We have since patched things up and become pallys.

OH, YEAH! TIMPANI!

Unfortunately, Rick won’t be in Vegas for this year’s Extra Special Special: “I will not be at the Telethon this year. I’ll be in Los Angeles with Gary Lewis who has elected to forgo the show this year. We leave on Labor Day from L.A., for a two week tour of the Philippines with Gary Lewis and the Playboys.” When Rick returns, I’ll sit him down for an interview.
