Mike Farrell, Gordon Hanson and Carmen Chavez to Talk About Illegal Immigration on Spotlight
The show will counter arguments that the costs of illegal immigration are greater than the benefits to the country.
Farrell, who is best known for his eight years on TV’s M*A*S*H and five years on Providence is also co-chair of Human Rights Watch in Southern California.
Joining him on the panel will be Gordon H. Hanson; professor of economics at the University of California at San Diego, and Carmen Chavez, an immigration attorney and executive director of Casa Cornelia Law Center; a non-profit group that works with immigrants.
The show is the second of a two part series examining the costs and benefits of illegal immigration for tax payers. It will air online at www.ListenToSpotlight.com at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. The show will go on for an hour. An archived version of the show will be available for listeners online or to download as a podcast immediately following the show’s conclusion.
