Refurbished Legacy Falcon Hotel Receives First Ever AA Rosette

May 23, 2008 - PRLog -- A refurbished hotel in Stratford is celebrating after securing its first ever AA rosette.

AA inspectors made a surprise visit to The Legacy Falcon Hotel in Chapel Street to judge its cuisine.

The 16th century hotel, which completed a £2.25 million refurbishment in the spring, was awarded a prestigious AA rosette.

Legacy Hotels and Resorts group chef Charles Anderson, who is based at The Legacy Falcon Hotel, served a starter of red mullet followed by sea bass for the main course and coffee crème brulee for dessert.

Operations Director Kevin Skeet said the award was a credit to the entire kitchen team.

“We have been working hard to provide consistently high standards in our restaurant and we are delighted to have gained the first AA rosette for the hotel,” he said.

“The rosette exemplifies the fine dining reputation that we are creating here and gaining this award emphasises the quality of the cuisine that we serve.

“Charles has a fantastic background since he started his career at The Savoy in London and he has worked with Michelin-starred chefs Michel Roux and Louis Outhier.

“After gaining one rosette, Charles will now be working with other hotels in the group towards delivering rosettes as part of the business’s Rosette Academy which will prove that we constantly provide food of the highest standard.”

The £2.25 million refurbishment involved transforming its 83 bedrooms, conference and meeting suites, lounge, restaurant, bar, public areas, creating a new reception entrance and a completely new main entrance.

“Achieving a rosette is the first stage of our wider aim to achieve four-star status at The Legacy Falcon Hotel,” Kevin added.

“We hope to become a four-star hotel later in the year following our major refurbishment which has been extremely well received by people who live in Stratford as well as our guests.

“It has made a massive difference and we are determined to challenge the best hotels and restaurants in Stratford for the cuisine that we serve.”
