Target is proud to continue its sponsorship of the Children’s Village for the 8th consecutive year, part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities throughout the country. Since opening its doors, Target has given 5 percent of its income to organizations that support education, the arts, social services and volunteerism. Today that translates to more than $3 million every week.

“At Target, our local grants are making a difference in the communities we serve,” said Laysha Ward, vice president, community relations, Target. “We’re proud to partner with Appel Farm Arts and Music Center as part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the communities where our guests and team members live and work.”

Featured performers include the beloved Tuckers Tales Puppet Theatre, storyteller Ken Kaplan and juggler, magician and comedian Al Angello. Arts and crafts activities will spark children’s creativity and add to the enjoyment of a delightful day in the country. Mural painting and creating fans, hats, jewelry pins and clothespin creatures are just some of the activities planned for the afternoon. From 12noon-4pm, the Children’s Village will be open to children of all ages. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge to the Festival, and there is no additional fee to participate in the Children’s Village.
