Appel Farm Arts and Music Center and PhillyCarShare Partner for Music Festival

Innovative Alliance Helps City-Dwellers Attend Music Festival in southern New Jersey

April 1, 2008 - PRLog -- It was today announced that Appel Farm Arts and Music Center and PhillyCarShare will collaborate in a partnership that aids Philadelphia and Wilmington residents in attending the 20th Annual Appel Farm Arts and Music Festival, scheduled for June 7 in Elmer, NJ. The rapidly-growing environmentally responsible car rental company, headquartered in Philadelphia, will offer its 35,000+ membership a special discount to the renowned Music Festival, and will promote the event through its website and membership newsletter. The service will be advertised to audiences when they purchase a ticket for the Festival at www.comcastTIX.com.

“PhillyCarShare is dedicated to supporting the arts and contributing all that it can to the regions” environmental, economic and social progress,” stated Steven Bocchinfuso, Deputy Marketing Director of PhillyCarShare. “ The nature of this festival and the location itself naturally aligns with our vision and the spirit of our mission. We are very happy to be a part of this years’ Festival.”

Located in Elmer, in a secluded country setting in southern New Jersey that is not served by public transportation, Appel Farm is only a 45-minute drive from both urban centers via car. Known for presenting established and emerging singer/songwriters of national stature, the Arts and Music Festival strives to make the one-day event accessible to all, both through the variety of music, low admission fees, and through removing as many barriers to attendance as possible.  With the establishment of PhillyCarShare in the Philadelphia and Wilmington areas, urban music-lovers can now purchase an all-day Festival ticket for as low as $31, access a vehicle for the day for $35.50 (including gas and insurance), car-pool with friends and get to the Festival in under an hour.

“Partnering with PhillyCarShare is something that makes sense for us, “ noted Mark Packer, Executive Director of Appel Farm Arts and Music Center. “ We share the same values about conserving our natural resources, and the public wins through access to affordable entertainment. ”
