March 25, 2008 - PRLog -- Bristlecone Learning, in conjunction with Duke Leadership Training, is offering a 5-day, intensive leadership development course entitled The Enduring Leader™.  The course is designed to address and accommodate the unique circumstances and requirements of accomplished, C-level, division leaders and business owners.

The 5-day course is being held the week of April 28-May 2, 2008 and delves beyond teaching and understanding leadership competencies.  By involving participants in experiential practices, this course ensures a deeper transformation and insight for growth.  Once the course is completed, each participant will be treated to additional webinars and one-on-one coaching to ensure individual successes beyond the course.  Duke University will issue a Certificate in Executive Leaders for those that successfully complete the curriculum.

“Developing leadership traits takes longer and is harder than teaching people good management skills,” says Jim Morris, senior partner at Bristlecone Learning.  “But the result is leaders who can solve the world’s problems by creating companies that do well, do good, and do it now.”

“Time and again, research shows that leaders who are emotionally intelligent and seek to do business in sustainable ways are able to lead companies to great success,” adds Betsey Upchurch, managing partner for Bristlecone Learning.  “In fact, they are significantly more successful than those that go for short term gains.  Our program addresses those leaders that understand the difference.”

Based on senior partner, Jim Morris’ book, The Five Insights of Enduring Leaders, this experiential program will challenge senior leaders to tackle some of the toughest issues they face with new skills and a fresh outlook on what it means to be a leader in the world today.  Registration is open at http://www.learnmore.duke.edu/corporate/registration.asp.
