J Michael Consulting Welcomes Rishi Tarar as Senior Public Health Fellow

ROSWELL, Ga. - Oct. 14, 2025 - PRLog -- J Michael Consulting is pleased to announce the addition of Rishi Tarar to its team as Senior Public Health Fellow. Rishi brings more than 23 years of experience designing and implementing transformative public health data systems that advance interoperability, scalability, and innovation.

Rishi has played a key role in architecting national-scale public health informatics initiatives, including the COVID-19 Electronic Lab Reporting (CELR) platform, which supported over 9 billion test results, and the Immunization Data Lake (IZDL), which processed over 1 billion vaccine records. His expertise spans cloud-based data infrastructure, HL7/FHIR interoperability, and real-time surveillance systems that strengthen decision-making and improve health outcomes across jurisdictions.

Prior to joining JMC, Rishi served as the Chief Enterprise Architect for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he defined and implemented the agency's North Star Architecture (NSA) for the Data Modernization Initiative (DMI). His leadership helped unify cloud, data, and analytics platforms across CDC and advance national data interoperability. Rishi has also served as a Technical Fellow and Enterprise Architect at Northrop Grumman and CACI Inc., leading large-scale solutions for multiple CDC national centers and public health partners including APHL and CSTE.

Recognized as a global thought leader, Rishi has delivered more than 20 presentations and keynotes at major conferences such as HIMSS, FHIR Dev Days, Data & AI Summit, and AMIA, and has earned numerous industry awards, including the Data Democratization Industry Award (2022) and the Northrop Grumman Quality Innovation Award (2020).
