| Better Together, The Way Church of Tampa Bay to host community job fair Oct. 29 in TampaBy: Better Together Registration is now open for job seekers and employers to participate in the October event. With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite. The Oct. 29 job fair will take place at The Way Church of Tampa Bay, located at 10029 N. Aster Ave. in Tampa. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/ With job openings available across various industry sectors, participating employers include AWP Safety, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, Kelly Education, OPMAX Support Services, Park Home Care, HotelPro Tampa Sarasota and The Reserves Network. Local resource partners will join Better Together in offering various onsite services, including Tru Printz and University Area CDC. The community job fairs are part of Better Together's "Better Jobs" program, which has helped more than 45,600 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. ABOUT BETTER TOGETHER Better Together is a nonprofit organization that helps parents going through a hard time keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. A privately funded and professionally supported organization, Better Together is made up of volunteers who believe helping people help themselves is the best way to restore dignity and bring families together. Through the Better Families program, families are offered a preventive alternative to foster care while they get the help they need. To date, the program has kept 98% of children served out of foster care. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families that come to Better Together because of economic hardship tied to unemployment.
