Ray Buffer Gains Momentum on Summer Film Festival Circuit with Breakout Roles in Genre Standouts

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Aug. 19, 2025 - PRLog -- Actor Ray Buffer is making a formidable impression on the 2025 summer film festival circuit, with a string of diverse and critically praised performances across sci-fi, dark comedy, and thriller genres. His standout portrayal of the menacing Frank Beatty in The Lord of All Future Space and Time has served as a pivotal moment in his expanding career in independent cinema.

Directed by Chris Paul Russell, The Lord of All Future Space and Time debuted at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival and recently earned the Best Screenplay award at the Smodcastle Film Festival in New Jersey. The film's West Coast premiere at the LA Shorts Film Festival marked yet another milestone for both the project and Buffer, whose performance has drawn acclaim for its intensity and nuance.

Buffer's momentum continues with several upcoming screenings across the country:

• August 28: Man of God, a comedy directed by Jon Hook, screens at North Hollywood CineFest. Buffer appears in the comedic role of "Thug," bringing levity to the spiritually tinged story.
• August 30: GUBER! by Rob Bogin plays at Studio City Film Festival, where Buffer appears as "Harvey," another supporting comedic turn that showcases his range.

September sees a darker shift in tone with several festival entries:

• September 3: Church of Phil, a dark comedy by Derwin Dalida, screens at the SIMI Film Festival, where it has received five nominations. Buffer plays Brad Kemp, a prop master hiding a mysterious past.
• September 7 (2:00 PM): Church of Phil will also screen at the Silicon Beach Film Festival, held at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
• September 14: The dramatic action feature My Face, from Ukrainian filmmaker Alexandr Berezan, begins its pre-release private screenings in Bellevue, Washington. Buffer takes on the role of antagonist "Ranger Chris."
• September 19–21: In Dan Asma's psychological thriller Tribe, Buffer appears as Sheriff Gotlieb. The film will screen at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland before heading to the UK for Grimmfest in Manchester, running October 9–12.
