Bobby Dodd Institute Welcomes New CFO

 
ATLANTA - Aug. 4, 2025 - PRLog -- Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI) announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Sam Delaney joins the organization and will lead accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, insurance, and treasury activities.

"I wanted to be part of an organization that creates jobs and other opportunities for people with disabilities, and BDI was the perfect next step for me. What BDI does is raise the individual, their family, and their community, and I am proud to be associated with the organization," Sam shared.

Sam held a similar role at WABE for three years — a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to Atlanta, Georgia, and serving the Atlanta metropolitan area.

He has over 35 years of financial experience, including 21 years with General Electric in various senior financial roles, both domestic and international; five years as CFO of Petfirst, a pet insurance company; time with Columbia Residential, an affordable housing company based in Atlanta, GA; and six years with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.

Sam graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Most recently, he served on the board of the Kentucky Derby Museum.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys competitive tennis, international travel, and attending major sporting events.

David Turner, who served as CFO of BDI for over 23 years, is assuming the role of Vice President of Finance and Accounting at the organization.
