COLUMBIA, Mo. - May 14, 2025 - PRLog -- Concerned nonprofit organizations and accessibility advocates have launched a campaign urging Microsoft to reverse its recent decision to discontinue its Tech for Social Impact grant program, which provided critical software support to nonprofits worldwide.

The program previously enabled thousands of organizations to access Microsoft services—including cloud storage, email, productivity tools, and more—at low or no cost. Its removal now places a significant financial burden on grassroots nonprofits working in mental health, accessibility, and neurodivergent advocacy.

A petition has been launched on Change.org, calling for Microsoft to reinstate the grant program and recognize the essential role nonprofits play in supporting vulnerable communities:

Nonprofits across the globe rely on digital infrastructure to deliver programming, provide counseling, and organize community support. For many, Microsoft's donated services were a lifeline. Losing that support threatens the continuity of essential services.

This campaign seeks to amplify the voices of affected organizations and their communities—and to remind corporations of their role in supporting global well-being through equitable access to technology.
