PRLog -- Author Chandra Donelson made a stop in Chicago as part of her national 2025 book tour, holding a well-attended reading of
The Data Detective at the Carnival at Barnes & Noble.
The event drew a large crowd of children and families from across the city, many of whom were eager to meet the author and learn about how data can be used to solve everyday problems. Donelson's engaging reading kept kids captivated from beginning to end, as she followed the story of William, a young boy on a mission to become a data detective like his mom.
"It's always inspiring to see how curious kids are about the world around them," Donelson said.
"This story gives them the tools to think critically and ask smart questions, all while having fun."Following the reading, Donelson signed copies of the book for the store and attendees, taking time to speak with families and encourage students to explore their own interests in data, problem-solving, and storytelling.
The Chicago visit marked another successful stop on Donelson's tour, which is dedicated to making data literacy accessible to children through storytelling, hands-on events, and community partnerships.
