CTeL Announces New Leadership for its Artificial Intelligence Blue Ribbon Collaborative

WASHINGTON - Nov. 11, 2024 - PRLog -- The Center for Telehealth & e-Health Law (CTeL) is thrilled to announce the appointment of new leadership for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Blue Ribbon Collaborative, a pioneering initiative bringing together a distinguished panel of experts to guide the healthcare sector on clinical and legal considerations surrounding AI implementation. This esteemed group serves as an independent resource to support healthcare organizations navigating the complex intersection of AI, clinical care, and regulatory compliance.

The newly appointed members of the AI Blue Ribbon Collaborative's leadership team bring vast expertise and deep knowledge from across the fields of population health, data science, neurology, liberal arts, and law. Their combined experience will enhance CTeL's mission to provide critical insights and thought leadership to organizations leveraging AI in healthcare.

The new leadership team includes:
  • Chair: Fei Wang, Ph.D., Professor of Population Health Sciences, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell University.
  • Vice Chair: Haipeng Chen, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Data Science, College of William and Mary.
  • Member at Large: Marcelo Matiello, M.D., Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.
  • Science & Tech Chair: Xiaotong Shen, M.D., John Black Johnston Distinguished Professor at the University of Minnesota.
  • Law & Policy Chair: Charles Keckler, J.D., Ph.D., Director of the Doctor of Law and Policy Program, Professor of the Practice.

In addition to serving as a thought leadership hub, the Collaborative hosts webinars, policy briefings, and working groups to keep healthcare organizations informed about emerging AI trends and compliance requirements.
