How to calibrate the motor system of agricultural drone?
By: EFTtech
HEFEI, China - July 23, 2024 - PRLog -- Nowadays, farmers use agricultural drones to disperse tens of kilograms of seeds or fertilizer, and these drones can carry all these payloads flying across tens of acres of field to help farming operations, which partly depends on the powerful motor system of the agricultural drone.
The motor system of an agricultural drone is primarily composed of propellers, a motor, a battery, an ESC, and other components. After heavy loads and prolonged farm operations, the entire motor assembly may become displaced, affecting flight safety and stability, and further decreasing the lifespan of the drone.
So it is important to regularly inspect and calibrate the drone's motor horizontal. If it is not level, you can refer to the following steps to check and calibrate the drone's motor.
First, check if the drone is horizontal by placing a level on the flight control mounting plate. Ensure that the bubble in the level is centered along both the X and Y axes. If it is not centered, adjust the drone until the bubble is in the middle.
Then, check if each motor is horizontal by placing the level on each of the four motors, making sure the level is perpendicular to the arms. Ensure that the bubble is in the middle; if it's not, loosen the screws to adjust the motor until the bubble is centered, and then tighten the screws..
Take the drone off the ground and check the throttle values of the four motors while hovering. Check the app interface on your remote control. If the deviation is less than 10%, then it can be used normally. If the deviation exceeds 10%, re-calibrate according to the steps above. If they still cannot be leveled, please replace the frame and recheck.
Last but not least, you must ensure that all motors are level before flight work.
