Noted Author Honored by the Prestigious HistoryMakers Library of Congress Permanent Selection

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 21, 2023 - PRLog -- Noted author Earl Ofari Hutchinson's interviews with the prestigious HistoryMakers Oral History Project was selected by the was selected for permanent archiving in the Library of Congress HistoryMakers Collection. "This is a truly rewarding honor," noted Hutchinson, "To merit having my interviews with the HistoryMakers being permanently archived in the Library of Congress."

The HistoryMakers Digital Archive was developed by Carnegie Mellon University. It provides unique access to thousands of African American lives…a virtual "Whose Who" of the African American community. More importantly, it takes you inside these lives to learn more about its history, organizations, communities, and careers. Out of these stories has emerged a new and more accurate version of Black history.

The HistoryMakers project fills a long much needed addition to telling the story in depth of the lives and contributions of African American notables in all fields. The oral histories the project has compiled serves as an educational tool and provides a unique window into the African American experience in America for generations of Americans.

"The interviews I did with the HistoryMakers Project gave me a real sense of being an intimate and important part of making history in America," Hutchinson observed," And equally important it gave me the opportunity to chronicle my experiences as an information and hopefully teaching marker for those hungry to learn about all aspects of the African experience and struggle in America."
