Moss Foundation Celebrates a Decade of Impact, $415K Donated to 8 Non-Profits

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Dec. 18, 2023 - PRLog -- The Moss Foundation celebrated a decade of philanthropy by hosting the tenth annual Plumb Bob Classic on Friday, December 8, at the prestigious Trump National Golf Club in Doral.

This year's charitable golf tournament marked a significant milestone, raising an impressive $415,000 in support of eight esteemed non-profit organizations. Bob Moss, founder and chairman of Moss Construction, presented checks to the organizations alongside Moss Foundation board members Albert Miranda and Michelle Daniels, emphasizing the commitment to their invaluable missions. The beneficiaries included ARC Broward ($35,000), Operation 300 ($30,000), Boys & Girls Club Palm Beach County ($25,000), Broward County's Make Our Schools Safe ($25,000), Every Mother's Advocate ($150,000), Martin County PAL ($60,000), Florida Sheriff's Association ($50,000), Honor Flight ($40,000), and West Palm Beach Fire Department ($30,000).

Reflecting on a decade of success, Miranda expressed gratitude, stating, "Hosting the Plumb Bob Classic for the past ten years has been an honor and a privilege. This flagship fundraiser has made a tremendous impact on our communities throughout Broward County, Florida, and nationally, donating more than $1 million over the years. The invaluable support from our sponsors, the commitment and dedication of our volunteers, staff, and enthusiastic players allows the Moss Foundation to continue extending support to so many innovative non-profit organizations."

The tournament drew an impressive turnout, with over 300 attendees and 272 golfers showcasing their skills on two separate courses. The Blue Monster course witnessed the triumph of the RightWay Plumbing Co. Team, led by PJ Healey, while on the Red Tiger course, the team representing Kimley-Horn, led by Julio Collier, emerged victorious.

The event's top tier sponsors, Lotspeich Co. of FL, Construction Risk Partners, and Power Design, played a pivotal role in its success, underscoring their commitment to community engagement. The Moss Foundation also expressed gratitude to all elite and name sponsors for their steadfast support. Tournament attendees enjoyed spirits, courtesy of the generous in-kind sponsorship of Bacardi USA Inc.
