The Tech Academy to Host French Prairie Middle School

PORTLAND, Ore. - Dec. 8, 2023 - PRLog -- On December 12th, The Tech Academy, an online coding school designed for individuals with no prior technical experience, will be welcoming the 7th and 8th-grade classes from French Prairie Middle School. The students will be toured through the campus and will participate in an introductory coding class to teach them basic coding fundamentals. For many, this will be their first venture into the many exciting career paths in computer tech.

As a coding school dedicated to complete beginners, The Tech Academy is enthusiastic about the increased emphasis being placed on encouraging kids to interact with computer science. Across the United States, access to computer science courses in education systems has continued to grow over the past decade. Code.org, a non-profit organization and educational website aimed at K-12 students, announced that as of 2023, 57% of US high schools now offer computer science courses.

The Tech Academy is happy to support this educational shift and help young students discover the many possibilities that exist in the field of computer science.
