Follow on Google News | Local Speaker and Humanitarian Travels to England for Faces of Women of Heart AwardsBy: A&R Media One has to be invited to participate, and to make it to the event's stage, several videos have to be made, so public speaking ability is a must. Kahn competed against hundreds of other women to earn a spot on the prestigious stage. The program selects women who work diligently to uplift and assist women, children, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the years, Kahn has done just that. Kahn works hard from day to day to help various students in her classroom. She taught at Los Angeles City College for 20 years and recently retired into substitute teaching. She has also been on the TEDx stage three times and has written four bestselling Amazon books, the most recent of which is about becoming a better speaker. The book offers 25 tips for speaking that can make all the difference in business, academia, and life. "I could not think of a better person from Los Angeles, CA. Rosalyn represents humanitarian efforts and causes that do so much to support women and girls," said Denise Richardson, Founder of Faces of WOHA. Through her work in the creative arts as well as with youth, she truly embodies the spirit of Faces of WOHA. After an enjoyable trip of sightseeing in London and participating in the WOHA ceremony, Kahn plans to continue her efforts here on the home front. She is continuing with substitute teaching, Impressionist painting, and public speaking. "I am so proud to have represented my local community at Faces of WOHA," said Kahn. "It was a great opportunity to meet new people and speak for the causes I feel most passionate about." For more information about Faces of WOHA, visit www.facesofwoha.org.
