Since July 2021, Amal has traveled over 6,000 miles to 15 countries, and been welcomed by more than a million people on the street, including hundreds of artists and civil society and faith leaders, as well as by tens of millions online. As part of ILIA's engagement, Mr. Mohamed Arif Wali, a young adult youth representative with a shared refugee experience from Afghanistan, contributed valuable insights. Mr. Ayman Nassar, ILIA's founder and chief of research, academics and programs, spoke about the rights and needs of refugees in Islam, and emphasized the significance of compassion, empathy, and support for the rights and needs of refugees within the Islamic context. ILIA's participation in the Mayor's office at this event underscores the organization's commitment to promoting awareness, understanding, and support for refugees, particularly within the Muslim community. In times of global crises, ILIA endeavors to fill the void, representing the Muslim voice in efforts that empower refugees and promote humanitarian values. Our shared mission is to make a significant impact, to advocate for the rights and well-being of refugees, and to inspire positive change. As we unite in these endeavors, we invite donors, supporters, and community members to join us in this meaningful cause. Together, we can bring hope and progress to those who seek refuge and build a brighter future for all.
