Five Friends open City Wine & Cigar in Victoria Commons Plaza in DeLand

DELAND, Fla. - Nov. 14, 2023 - PRLog -- City Wine & Cigar has opened in the space previously occupied by The Grapevine in the Victoria Commons Plaza in DeLand. This new business venture is a collaboration among friends Elvira Hanna, Melissa Stalzer, Jessica Ferrentino, Paula Outzen, and Paul Hunt. Some of the friends have known each other since childhood and the rest met via their careers in the real estate, title and building industry. City Wine & Cigar is majority women owned, and two of the owners are also military veterans; Paul Hunt served in the Royal Navy as a military diver, and Melissa Stalzer served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and U.S. Navy Reserves.

The owners are embracing a refreshed, family - and dog - friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy and have expanded hours of operation and are open seven days a week. To celebrate, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to take place on December 5th at 5:30pm. Patrons and media are cordially invited to join in celebrating this special occasion.

City Wine & Cigar boasts an extensive wine selection, from budget-friendly to premium wines, available on tap and by the bottle. Complementing their wine offerings, as the exclusive cigar bar in DeLand, they present a sophisticated array of cigars, ranging from everyday favorites to luxury selections.

At City Wine & Cigar, every day brings a new beat with an array of live entertainment from local musicians, comedy nights, trivia, karaoke, and bingo. Complement this with a tapas-style menu with selections such as soups, salads, sandwiches, charcuterie small plates and decadent desserts.
