Murphy Law Firm Investigates Legal Claims on Behalf of the 170,450 Individuals whose Personal Information was Exposed in the Data Breach at the Chattanooga Heart Institute
OKLAHOMA CITY - Aug. 2, 2023 - PRLog -- Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Chattanooga Heart Institute. On April 17, 2023, Chattanooga Heart Institute discovered indications of a cybersecurity attack on its IT network. Through a subsequent investigation, Chattanooga Heart Institute determined that unauthorized cybercriminals successfully infiltrated its system and gained access to its network between March 8, 2023, and March 16, 2023. On May 31, 2023, Chattanooga Heart Institute further determined that the unauthorized cybercriminals obtained files that contained the confidential personal information of 170,450 patients. The exposed data includes:
  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver's license numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Mailing addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Diagnosis and treatment information
  • Health insurance information
  • Financial information
  • Phone
