Murphy Law Firm Investigates on Behalf of the 827,149 Individuals whose Personal Information was Exposed in the City of Hope Data Breach
OKLAHOMA CITY - April 5, 2024 - PRLog -- Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving the City of Hope. On or about October 13, 2023, City of Hope detected suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Subsequently, City of Hope conducted a forensic investigation. Through this investigation, City of Hope determined that cybercriminals had successfully infiltrated City of Hope's inadequately secured computer network and, thereby, "obtained copies of some files between September 19, 2023 and October 12, 2023." City of Hope further confirmed that the files accessed and obtained by cybercriminals includes the sensitive patient data of at least 827,149 individuals. The information exposed in the data breach includes:

- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Contact information
- Medical records and medical information
- Health insurance information
