Using ChatGPT to create a game and then releasing it on 4 different platforms

SAN FRANCISCO - June 7, 2023 - PRLog -- I've been making and releasing games on and off for I'd say 10–15 years. Feedback use to always come from friends and colleagues which would not always be the kind of feedback I'd be looking for. I came into pico-8 with the decision to only make games for fun but I still have this itch of wanting to do it fulltime. I've spent close to a year developing some of my games and this time I just wanted to stick to something simple so that porting would hopefully also be simple.

I came up with an idea for a gap fitting game. So I though I'd see how ChatGPT could help me. I've tried using GPT 3.5 to help with game coding before but it wasn't that good. So I signed up to ChatGPT plus so I could use the new GPT 4. This is the starting prompt for my game (ignore that it says GPT 3.5 at the top I switched to the model later as my GPT4 allowance had ran out)

Sadly things did not start so well. So what I did is break down the prompts into smaller tasks and edit the code I could see was wrong...
