The website has compiled data on company pledges that were made starting from June 2020 up until today. The data includes pledges from companies such as Google, Amazon, Boeing, Goldman Sachs, and many more. The top three companies that have made the largest pledges are JP Morgan Chase, with $30 billion, followed by Goldman Sachs and the Coalition for Equity and Opportunity, with $10 billion each. The Black Lives Matter movement gained national and international attention following the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and others by police officers. Many companies pledged to support the movement and address issues of systemic racism and police brutality. "We are thrilled to see that so many companies have taken a stand against racism and are investing in initiatives to support the Black community," said William Michael Cunningham, one of the founders of the Black Lives Matter Corporate Pledges website. "We hope that these pledges will have a lasting impact and help to create a more equitable and just society for all."
