MELBOURNE, Australia - April 17, 2023 - PRLog -- he Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408) permits persons to be sponsored to work in Australia for a limited time.

This visa subclass has the following streams based on activity type:
  • Invited participant in a social/cultural event
  • Physical activities
  • Domestic Work for Executives
  • Religious Work
  • Activities of Super Yacht Crew Research
  • Arrangements for Staff Exchange
  • Programmes Exceptionnels
  • Activities for recreation
  • Events Endorsed by the Australian Government

Once granted, the visa holder is allowed to remain in Australia and pursue employment in a field that fits the category of activity for which the visa was authorized. Except for the Invited Participant type, which may only be awarded for up to three months, and the Australian Government sponsored event activity, which can be issued for up to four years, the visa is often provided for the duration of the activity and can be given for up to two years. Also, keep in mind that the 408 visa requested under the superyacht crew and special programme activities is typically only valid for a period of up to 12 months.

It is permissible to bring family members, however even if they won't arrive right away, they should be listed on the visa application. Under this visa category, family members may have some restricted employment rights.
