NEW TAIPEI CITY, Taiwan - Oct. 25, 2022 - PRLog -- Thecus is pleased to confirm that the new WD Ultrastar DC HC570 hard drives with 22 Terabytes can be used in every current Thecus NAS model. These recently introduced HDDs offer the biggest capacity for network attached storage to date and are now supported to especially expand professional Thecus NAS systems in data centers.

The WD Ultrastar DC HC570 offers enormous 22TB capacity in a standard 3.5-inch form factor and features the widely used SATA interface. Western Digital's OptiNAND technology for highest capacities uses ArmorCache, providing enterprise-level power loss protection and increased performance with 512MB DDR4 memory and embedded 64GB flash drive. This feature ensures that even with Write Cache enabled, there's no risk of data loss even when power is interrupted, but providing performance similar to disabled DRAM cache.

With its reliable, field-proven, 8th-generation HelioSeal design, these hard drives run at low power for common data center sequential and random read/write workloads while using spindle speeds of 7200 RPM. The combination of its triple-stage actuator for the highest read-write head position accuracy, advanced magnetic recording technology to enable 2.2TB on a single disk and ten disks inside this common form factor allows the WD Ultrastar DC HC570 to reach its highest capacity yet.

Western Digital also projects 2.5 million hours MTBF (mean time between failure) and promises a 5-year limited warranty.
